Movie Theater Rant

Ok people, I did not complain at $9 tickets and i winced a bit at $5 sodas and $6 popcorn but i saw the end of the road for me and movie snacks last week. My local theater is now charging 50 cents for refills on large drinks and popcorn. Now i admit i hardly ever used the refill option on my snacks but it really made it easier for me to choke down paying 11 dollers for crappy food. Now let's run down a little math here, the prices listed below are what i can pay for bulk, take into account the theater get's it cheaper.

50lb Yellow Popping Corn - 37.99 (Yield of 1200 quarts of popcorn)

1 gallon of popping oil - 5.27

5 gallons of Dr. Pepper syrup - 57.53 (Yield 30 gallons of soda)

So if i take into account my 32 ounce drink (0.05% of 50 gallons of soda) for a cost of 0.0089 cents and heck we can round it up to 0.01 just to take into account the co2, water, ice, cup and straw. Next we have my ~2 quarts of popped popcorn (0.0166% of 1200 quarts) for a cost of 0.72 cents which we can round up to 0.80 cents for the box and salt. That is quite the profit on some simple items, i understand that most the money they make is off concessions but seriously, now days with the economy being what it is, you would think they would give a little....
